Mannie Tai
Mannie is a talented performer who has been a part of several productions. He got his first taste of musical theatre as a member of the ensemble in the Marlborough Combined Colleges' production of Grease in 2018, and was also cast in their ensembles for Evita and Hairspray.
His first principal role was that of Polynesian demigod Maui in Dance on Grove's 2020 production of Moana. Being a young Māori performer, this was a significant opportunity for Mannie as he grew up listening to stories about the legends of Maui.
Mannie is now thrilled to have been cast as Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He has been inspired by his close team of "brothers" and is eager to push his limits to deliver his best performance. With his talent and dedication, Mannie is sure to continue making a mark in the world of musical theatre and we are delighted to have him perform with BMT.
